Daily Flight Plan

  • Create and maintain the daily and weekly production schedule

  • Balance inventory availability, machine capacity, labor shifts, and customer deadlines

  • Adjust schedules in real-time to account for disruptions (machine downtime, supply chain hiccups, urgent orders)

  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Warehouse, Production, and Customer Service teams

  • Analyze data on run rates, lead times, and bottlenecks to optimize throughput

  • Keep an eye on backlogs, forecast demand, and smooth out production peaks and valleys

  • Ensure clear communication of schedule updates to all departments

Core System Requirements

Proficiency in ERP, MRP, or production scheduling software

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Ability to problem-solve in real-time under deadline pressure

Clear communicator across teams — production, sales, customer service

Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain operations

Bonus: experience with Lean or Just-in-Time (JIT) production principles
