Subscription Billing Specialist

Reports To: Finance Manager or Revenue Operations Lead

We’re seeking a Subscription Billing Specialist to ensure smooth and accurate processing of customer subscriptions. You’ll handle recurring billing, resolve discrepancies, and partner with both finance and customer-facing teams to make sure the billing cycle is seamless and trustworthy.

Duties:

  • Generate accurate invoices and process payments for subscription-based services

  • Address customer billing inquiries and correct billing errors

  • Monitor subscription lifecycle events: upgrades, downgrades, renewals, and cancellations

  • Assist in monthly revenue reconciliation and reporting

  • Maintain system integrity across billing platforms and CRM

  • Support audit and compliance checks related to billing and revenue recognition

Requirements:

  • 2–4 years of experience in billing, accounting, or subscription finance

  • Hands-on experience with billing platforms (e.g. Stripe, Chargebee)

  • Customer-service orientation with clear, professional communication skills

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and revenue recognition rules

  • Bonus: SaaS or subscription business experience
